Noun A Muslim festival, in particular. The feast marking the end of the fast of Ramadan.

In the Middle East, or in Doha rather:

1) It's not allowed to eat nor drink in public during Ramadan

2) You can only be seen eating during Iftar (after sunset)

3) You can only drink alcohol/smoke in private places (i.e. hotels), well even if it's not Ramadan (Ha!)
